Asian American attorneys are significantly underrepresented in the public interest profession, despite a growing representation among law graduates. This panel, comprised of current and former public interest and pro bono attorneys, will speak to why they chose public interest careers or pro bono work and why it is important to foster new generations of public interest attorneys. Our panelists will speak to their vision of their role in representing and reflecting their communities in the public interest sector, why equitable representation in public interest work matters, and the unique challenges that may arise in a career in public interest.
