Lisa Ohta

President, Association of Legal Aid Attorneys (ALAA)

Lisa Ohta (she/her) is the president of the Association of Legal Aid Attorneys (ALAA), UAW Local 2325, where she represents more than 2,700 legal and social service workers, including attorneys, paralegals, social workers, investigators, receptionists, interpreters, advocates, administrative staff, and counselors at over twenty non-profits throughout New York. Prior to her current position, Lisa was a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society,  protecting tenants from unlawful evictions and representing clients whose federal  disability benefits had been denied or discontinued. Lisa is a proud graduate of CUNY School of Law.
