Wei has been in public service for over 15 years – from the Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Division, to NYC Administration for Children’s Services, to NYS Attorney General’s Office, Bureau of Investor Protection, and to NYC DSS/HRA. His career has focused on delivering public benefits and services to New Yorkers in need, and he has helped administer them in the largest social services district in the United States, with billions of federal TANF and SNAP funding disbursed to low-income households annually.
Wei earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and German from Wesleyan University, and his Juris Doctor degree from CUNY Law School, where he was an Associate Editor of the New York City Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in Connecticut, New York State, and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
