District Attorney, Manhattan District Attorney’s Office
Ryan Gee, a graduate of NYU Law and the NYU College of Arts and Sciences, joined the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in 2010. He was initially appointed to the Appeals Division, where he argued cases at every level of the state’s appellate courts. In 2017, Ryan transferred to the Financial Frauds Bureau, and he was promoted in 2021 to the position of Deputy Bureau Chief. In the Financial Frauds Bureau, Ryan conducts and supervises long-term investigations, grand jury presentations, and felony jury trials involving a range of complex financial frauds. The Bureau also houses the Office’s Immigrant Affairs Unit, which investigates and prosecutes financial crimes targeting the immigrant community. Ryan has handled several such cases, including an employment scam that targeted multiple Spanish-speaking victims. In addition to his case work and supervisory responsibilities, Ryan has served as the Deputy Attorney in Charge and Attorney in Charge of the Office’s Summer Law Fellowship Program, and as a member of the District Attorney’s Equity and Social Justice Advisory Board.
