Commissioner, NYC Department of Small Business Services
Kevin D. Kim was appointed by Mayor Eric Adams to serve as the Commissioner for the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) in January 2022. As a son of immigrant small business owners, and a former co-founder/operator of several small businesses, Commissioner Kim knows first-hand the various challenges that small businesses face. Commissioner Kim is an attorney, entrepreneur, and public servant. He received his B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University and his J.D. from Columbia Law School.
