James Q. Walker represents executive-level professionals, companies, and board committees in securities regulatory matters as well as internal investigations and Am Law-ranked law firms and attorneys in professional liability matters. He has over 20 years of experience representing clients in government enforcement actions and represents digital asset companies and/or their business partners in securities enforcement matters. James is frequently engaged in parallel proceedings involving simultaneous government investigations and related litigation.
James has been active in state bar committees focused on professional ethics and developing standards of professional conduct. He has served on the New York City Bar Association’s Professional Discipline, Professional and Judicial Ethics, Professional Responsibility, and Securities Regulation committees. James is a frequent lecturer on securities enforcement and professional ethics and has published articles on the intersection of professional ethics and the regulation of digital assets. He serves on the editorial board of the ABA/BNA Lawyers’ Manual of Professional Conduct and Law360’s Legal Ethics publication.
